In the middle of the Pacific.....

It was me, a kayak, and shark infested waters.....ok, there were Garibarldis (CA state fish) and sea lions, but it was still exciting.

USD rules!! Summer research that includes an outing where we, the chem/bio/biochem department labs, take a day off to go kayaking in La Jolla cove for free -on the department's tab :)

Aside from dumping once (6 if you count trying to get into the kayak) I was a natural. I'll upload some pictures of the event I took w/ an underwater camera later.

I'll bet people at Berkeley and UCSD wouldn't even have dreamed undergrad could be so fun!!
