Life is too short....

*************************************************************************************
God bless Theresa Lawrence who passed away Easter Sunday. (Mary's Grandmother)

We know that she is in a place we can only hope to also be one day. I believe if there are jobs assigned in heaven, she will be our daughter's guardian angel. We all pray that you are at peace Theresa.

Because life is too short I have instituted a mild version of the Rule of 90. (Do what you think you'd wish you had done when you're sitting hooked up to an oxygen tank and being fed through tubes when you're 90 years old and...old)

In it I'll live life great enough to appreciate it-- appreciate the soft skin of my wife's face, the adorable site of Agape asleep in my arms, the unique ways in which my mother, father, and sisters each interact with me, and the huge support from my VERY huge family in the Bay Area (I miss you all!)--

Quick note:

I WILL be working in the lab of UCSD's Dean of Pharmacy (Dr. Palmer Taylor) this summer!!!! I'm so excited. I met him during spring break. He's an easy guy to get along with. The most memorable moment was when I was about to leave and he stops me because there was one last thing to show me--- So Dean Taylor takes me out to the roof ledge where he then points to the new Pharmaceutical Sciences building being constructed across the quad area. There we were, wind blowing at our faces--the Dean of the Pharmacy School and I-- and I couldn't help but feel like this was one of those scenes in a movie that inspire you so much that you just wanna jump out of your chair and scream "Hell yeah!". I can't wait for this summer.

Predictions: UCSD Pharmacy School Class of 2011!
